dramaaddiction:

Even though this is a drama, the Koreans who watch it are going to take it to heart. The way that they are being treated in the drama, they are going to think all the Americans are like that. For example, they are going to think all black people fight and want to buy watches illegally, or that all…

But it does make the drama seem a bit more realistic, though. I mean, it’s clearly obvious that not all Americans are like that, but you can’t deny that there aren’t any racism against Asians in the U.S.

[Trigger Warning: For casually mention remark about Rape]

Eyes: I didn’t know whether or not I should put a trigger warning on this but I did because of the way this disgusting excuse of a person casually threw in rape.

I’m not going to give you a lot respond because you basically just drown yourself. The confession was racist plain and simple. You are also a racist. And your explain of using God in this is extremely laughable.

Another person who thinks someone is racist just because they disagree with the confession being taken down. Did that person say “white people are better, all other races suck”? Hell no. Stop pulling the racist card on everyone who disagrees. You’re not making yourself look any better. You’re just demonizing people and pathetically judging people for being something they’re not. And that’s also offensive and insulting.

By the way, I’m Asian, so don’t you dare pull the “you’re white, what do you know about racism” card (and also, white people do experience racism).

Eyes: Their not racist for disagreeing with the confession being taken down. Their racist for saying the original confession wasn’t racist which it was. Their racist and ignorant for continuing spilling out racist bullshit.

“Did that person say “white people are better, all other races suck”? Hell no.”

So because they didn’t say “white people are better, all other races suck” then they must not be racist? Okay, you need to stop talking and go have a sit somewhere because you have no idea what actual racism is.

“Stop pulling the racist card on everyone who disagrees. You’re not making yourself look any better. You’re just demonizing people and pathetically judging people for being something they’re not. And that’s also offensive and insulting.”

No what’s pathetic, offensive, and insulting is you saying people are playing the “racist card”, sorry I think you mean “race card”, because their pointing out actual racism.

“By the way, I’m Asian, so don’t you dare pull the “you’re white, what do you know about racism” card (and also, white people do experience racism).”

You know what’s funny. I never said “you’re white, what do you know about racism” to any of the people I responded to. I never called any of them white. Its funny you are assuming that.

White people cannot experience racism. There is no such thing as reverse racism.

http://super-eklectic1.tumblr.com/whiteness

Here is a link which information, I suggest you read and watch every single one of them because you sound so fucking ignorant right now its unbelievable.

Just because your Asian doesn’t mean you can’t be racist which you are.

I am NOT racist. I have friends of multiple races. Last I checked, racists don’t hang out with people other than those within their own race. Also, having experienced racism myself in 5th grade and having my pride broken over it, why would I advocate racism? That makes no sense at all. I’m the first to speak out against anyone who dares says anything racist. When anyone in my family says anything remotely racist, who is the one to speak up against it? Me. Also, I REFRAIN from speaking any racial slurs both online and real life. I can’t even bring myself to say the “N” word that other people can say so freely because the term is so dirty to me. Hell, if I were to read Huckleberry Finn out loud, I’d skip over the N word that pops up a lot in that novel because I refuse to say words like that. Don’t call me “racist” when you don’t even know me.

Also, there IS such a thing as reverse racism. Go to countries in Asia and you’ll see it. And did you forget the discrimination against the Irish people in early American history? When there were signs saying “Irish people need not apply” in front of shops, they were discriminating against the Irish.

And sorry, I confused you for queerhairyvag who made the assumption that all white people are racists (when they’re not).

stopwhitewashing:

[Trigger Warning: For casually mention remark about Rape]

reasonsineedacat:

Alright, I’ve GOT to intervene in hopes that this “stopwhitewashing” prick will see what I have to say.

First of all, the confession wasn’t racist. Someone imagining a character as white or black or asian or WHATEVER. NOT. RACIST. People just got their panties in a bunch and HPC felt that it was their fault. So if I posted a confession to HPC about how I want to rape young Ginny as described in the books, that’s HPC’s fault? It’s not. HPC should not have felt as though they had to take the post down because of the tumblr population not being able to handle a personal opinion.

Regardless, I will say again. The post was not racist. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read through books and imagined a character in my head and seen something totally different than what a movie turned them into. I become disappointed immediately upon seeing a character looking nothing how I imagined them to. I like my view better. Regardless of if it’s white, black, asian, whatever. If the book describes them as something specific, that’s what you go with. But it’s my choice what I want to think of when a character is racially ambiguous.

Think of God. He is described in the bible as absolutely racially ambiguous. People have drawn their own pictures of God. Some people think he is black, some people think he is white, some people think he’s a dog or a cat or a fish. Because it was left up to them to interpret for themselves. When authors write books and don’t give a person a racial description, they’re leaving it up to the reader to choose and if I choose a white person and the movie makes them black, I’m upset because that’s not what I imagined. Not because I’m racist.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is coming out and I’m upset about choice of cast in that movie. Sam, played by Emma Watson, was described as not traditionally pretty, but not ugly by any means. Emma Watson is fucking gorgeous. Couldn’t be ugly if she tried. I’m irritated, but does that mean I hate pretty people? Nope. It just means they cast someone who I didn’t expect based on my minds description of a character, and I’m irritated.

Eyes: I didn’t know whether or not I should put a trigger warning on this but I did because of the way this disgusting excuse of a person casually threw in rape.

One, I’m not a racist. Two, I was talking about Harry Potter. Since you cannot provide any examples for me, your argument is  weak and unfounded. Good day and I hope you enjoy living in a black and white world because that’s all you seem to see.

What is this? Which character did they think was white?

Lavender Brown. In PoA, she was black, but all of a sudden for the 6th movie, they made her white.

Again we are SO sorry.

*Some people seem to be wondering why we took the…

And you need to stop calling everyone who states their opinion against this “racist”. Did anyone speaking against this use any racial slurs? No. You’re just mindlessly throwing the term around. Let’s see what the word racist means, shall we?

“rac·ist  [rey-sist] noun 1. a person who believes in racism,  the doctrine that a certain a person who believes in racism,  the doctrine that a certain human race  is superior to any or all others.”

Oh look, nobody said they believe one race is superior to any or all others. The three people who voiced their disagreement just said that they don’t believe it’s racist. How does that make them racists? Did they state anywhere in their posts that they believe in racism or supremacy of a certain race? No.
